A Festival With A Purpose

SMRRF is more than a 3D printing festival. Founded in memory of E3D co-founder Sanjay Mortimer, every ticket sold helps the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation create opportunities for neurodivergent young people through engineering, making and STEM.

By bringing together the global maker community, we're celebrating the open-source spirit Sanjay championed while raising vital funds to inspire future innovators.

Why Manchester?

With its engineering legacy, thriving maker scene, and over 100,000 students, Manchester is the ideal home for the UK’s RepRap festival. It's easily accessible with great transport links and simply a great city to hang out in!

Thanks to our partners at PrintCity, we will once again be hosting SMRRF in a cutting-edge Dalton Building at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Max Funkner,

3DWithUs

"SMRRF provided an excellent platform for both makers and industry leaders to share ideas, showcase projects, and discuss the future of open and collaborative 3D printing."

Julia Steiner,

3Dnatives.

"SMRRF bridges the gap between the foundation's charitable work and the broader RepRap industry."
"SMRRF brings together technology, education, and community, with a strong focus on accessible and inclusive engineering."
