Alexis' Story
Dan Pledger, who nominated Alexis for the award, has found her to be a remarkable student whose passion for design and engineering is matched only by her exceptional talent and dedication. She consistently demonstrates a level of creativity, innovation, and technical prowess that is truly extraordinary.
Alexis has had to navigate the complex world of neurodiversity and gender identity, but despite facing these obstacles she has proven time and again that her unique perspective only enhances her creative abilities.

One of Alexis's standout accomplishments is the creation of the Beatrix Potter Decoding Device, a groundbreaking project that showcases her ingenuity and technical skills and which has been exhibited at the V&A Museum. Despite the many challenges that she has had to overcome, Alexis' work showcases creativity, innovation, and technical prowess and we can't wait to see where her journey takes her!
