SMRRF 2026

7th & 8th March 2026
The Dalton Building, Manchester

The Sanjay Mortimer Foundation (SMF) is a charity dedicated to supporting neurodivergent young people in the fields of engineering and STEM. It was founded following the tragic loss of our dear friend, Sanjay Mortimer, co-founder of E3D and a visionary in the world of 3D printing. Sanjay’s achievements were not in spite of his neurodivergence, but because of it, and they continue to inspire others with your support.

A Festival With A Purpose

Who’s Joining Us?

In 2024, SMRRF raised over £94,000 to support neurodiverse young people in STEM, with 1,000+ attendees from across the UK turning up to celebrate innovation, community, and creativity.

Why Manchester?

With its engineering legacy, thriving maker scene, and over 100,000 students, Manchester is the ideal home for the UK’s RepRap festival. It's easily accessible with great transport links and simply a great city to hang out in!

Thanks to our partners at PrintCity, we’re hosting SMRRF 2026 in a cutting-edge venue built for innovation, the brand-new Dalton Building at MMU - right next to last year's venue.

SMRRF24 was absolutely brilliant! I’ve been trying to think of a nice way to summarize the event, but honestly, I’m struggling because it was just so darn good. It’s a celebration of creativity, innovation, and community—and it’s impossible to leave without feeling inspired.
